flydubai Co-Pilot Who Stabbed Indian Captain May Be Linked To Iran: Trump
US President Donald Trump has suggested a potential link between Iran and a flydubai co-pilot who attempted to crash a plane. While Israeli officials confirm the pilot was radicalized, they state it is too early to confirm state-sponsored involvement.
Why it matters
The incident raises significant international security concerns regarding aviation safety and potential state-sponsored terrorism.
A day after a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was thrown into chaos, US President Donald Trump has hinted that Iran may have a link to the flydubai incident, saying the answer is "yes" based on what he is hearing, though checks are still under way.Trump was asked by a reporter whether anyone had briefed him on a possible link between the flydubai attacker and Iran. He said his team was looking into it."We're working on that right now. We'll be very open with it. Uh, I would say the answer based on what I'm hearing is yes, but we're working on it right now," Trump said.
