Flood situation remains grim in Bihar; CM Samrat Choudhary inspects relief camps

The Ganga, Kosi and Gandak rivers continued to flow above the danger level in several parts of Bihar on Monday (September 7, 2026) as the flood situation, which has affected over 27 lakh people and led to the death of at least 20 in the State over the last two weeks, persisted in at least 13 districts.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Vaishali and Saran districts, and also inspected some relief camps and community kitchens. He announced that the government was ready to help those affected by the flood in every possible way. The government has started handing out ₹4 lakh to families of those who died.
