Fleetwood Mac star's 20-acre Kent estate lists for £3M after 25 years
The 20-acre Kent estate formerly owned by Fleetwood Mac star Christine McVie has been listed for sale at £3 million. The historic 17th-century property served as a private retreat for the musician for 25 years.
Why it matters
The sale highlights the intersection of celebrity real estate and historic preservation in the English countryside.
For 25 years, while Fleetwood Mac toured the world and its music reached millions of listeners, Christine McVie found a quieter place to call home in the English countryside. The late singer, songwriter and keyboardist made The Quaives, a historic estate in Wickhambreaux, Kent, her home in 1990, transforming it into a private retreat where she could garden, unwind and continue making music away from the spotlight. Now, the approximately 20-acre property is back on the market for £3 million. Country Life reported the listing in October 2026, describing the Grade II-listed estate as a 17th-century property that benefited from McVie's restoration work.A country retreat away from the spotlightMcVie, who joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970, spent decades performing with one of rock music's most successful bands. By 1990, she had spent years travelling between recording studios, hotels and concert venues.
