A five-year-old boy drowned in Tellapur lake after he reportedly walked out of his play school premises unnoticed on Thursday morning.
The deceased, identified as Shanvith, was dropped at Shikaram playschool, located opposite Tellapur lake, by his parents around 9 a.m. Around 9.30 a.m., the child is suspected to have left the school premises and entered the water.
According to police, the playschool is a small facility and the groundskeeper did not notice the child leaving the premises. The staff realised that Shanvith was missing around half-an-hour later and began searching for him.
