Five ‘terrorist associates’ held, hideout busted in Kashmir: police

The Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday (October 7, 2026) said five supporters of terrorists were arrested and hideouts busted in Kashmir.
A police spokesman said the security forces, in a joint operation, had “apprehended five terrorist associates in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district”. Arms and ammunition were also recovered.
“Acting on credible input regarding movement of terror associates, an operation was launched at Khrewan Chadder, Kulgam and five individuals were arrested,” the police said, adding that two pistols, three magazines, 40 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, and three grenades were recovered.
