Five takeaways from Mizzou’s Homecoming 45-17 win over Florida

The University of Missouri football team defeated the University of Florida 45-17 during their Homecoming game. The victory was marked by a dominant defensive performance that stifled Florida's running game.
Why it matters
College football results are significant for regional sports culture and university athletic rankings.
To celebrate the oldest Homecoming tradition in college football, No. 25 Mizzou bounced back from a discouraging loss and put No. 8 Florida to the sword, obliterating them by a score of 45-10. It’s Mizzou’s first win over a Top 10 opponent in the regular season since 2013.
Here are your five takeaways.

Mizzou’s run defense had an off night against Mississippi State and the SEC’s second-leading rusher in Fluff Bothwell. So who better to get right against than… Oh. That guy, huh?
