Five-session SBRT preserves quality of life before pancreatic cancer surgery
A study presented at the American Society for Radiation Oncology suggests that a five-session course of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is more effective at preserving quality of life for pancreatic cancer patients than conventional 28-session radiation. Patients undergoing the shorter treatment regimen reported better physical function and reduced fatigue.
