Five persons injured near Ambur
A family of four and their driver were injured when their SUV was struck by a lorry on the Chennai-Bengaluru Highway near Ambur. The victims were transported to a local government hospital, and police have initiated an investigation into the accident.

A family of four persons was injured after an SUV they were travelling was hit by a lorry on Chennai – Bengaluru Highway (NH 48) near Ambur town in Tirupattur on Friday.
The police said K. Silabarasan, 35, along with his wife and two children, hired an SUV with a private travel agency in Ambur town to go to Tirupati.
The driver of the SUV, S. Kannan, 31, l steered the vehicle to climb onto the carriageway of the highway, when a lorry with a consignment of liquor bottles t hit the SUV.
