Five New Zealanders among missing tourists after deadly Nepal flash flood
Five New Zealanders are among the nearly 1,500 people missing following a catastrophic flash flood on the Nepal-China border. The disaster, triggered by a glacier collapse, has resulted in at least 270 confirmed deaths.

Five New Zealanders are among nearly 1500 people missing following Wednesday's catastrophic flash flooding on the Nepal-China border which killed at least 270 people.
RNZ understands four of the five New Zealanders missing are Suhasini Reddy, who lived in Australia, Auckland man Dejan Kuzmic and Hamilton couple Mihir and Kinnari Patel.
The identity of the fifth person has not yet been revealed.
Reddy's brother Rajeev Reddy told RNZ she and the group of hikers she was with were due to meet Chinese authorities to get permission to cross the border close to the time the raging flood hit.
Her appointment was at 11am local time, the tragedy unfolded shortly after 8.30am. He hoped she'd made it to higher ground.
Suhasini Reddy is one of the New Zealanders missing.
Earlier on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) confirmed five New Zealanders were missing.
