<p>Five people have been injured, including one who was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital, after a three-vehicle crash on the Kawarau Bridge near Queenstown this morning. </p> <p>Emergency services were called to the scene on Gibbston Highway, State Highway 6 at around 11.45am Saturday.</p> <p>Hato Hone St John said three ambulances, one operations manager and one helicopter responded to the scene. </p> <p>One person in a serious condition was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital.</p> <p>Another person in a serious condition and a person in a moderate condition were transported to Lakes District Hospital. </p> <p>Two people in a minor condition were treated at the scene. </p> <p>The road was briefly closed after the crash but had since reopened with a 50km/h temporary speed restriction in place, according to NZTA Waka Kotahi. </p> <p>"People are asked to travel with care through this area," it said. </p> <p>The Serious Crash Unit had been notified. </p> <p>The Kawarau Bridge is located near the popular Kawarau River Bungy Jump, which overlooks the Kawarau River. </p>
