Five held in murder of farmer in Chittoor

Police in Chittoor have arrested five individuals for the murder of a local farmer following a land and family dispute. The suspects allegedly used a country-made weapon to commit the crime before attempting to dispose of evidence.
The Palamaner sub-division police on Tuesday (August 11, 2026) arrested five people for allegedly killing a man with a country-made weapon in Marapalli village, Peddapanjani mandal, on August 6. The accused allegedly attacked C.G. Srinivasulu, a farmer, while he was sitting on a rock in his field.
