Five healthcare centres in Mavelikara constituency set for major upgrade

The Mavelikara parliamentary constituency has received funding for the major upgrade of five healthcare centers. These projects, supported by the Central Finance Commission and the National Health Mission, aim to improve rural medical infrastructure.

Development projects valued at ₹2.57 crore have been sanctioned for the upgradation of five healthcare centres in the Mavelikara parliamentary constituency. Funded through the Central Finance Commission and the National Health Mission (NHM), these initiatives are designed to strengthen public health infrastructure and expand access to quality medical services in Chunakkara, Chennithala, Champakulam, Edathua, and Thakazhi, said Kodikunnil Suresh MP.
Under the Central Finance Commission fund, a development project worth ₹55.50 lakh is being implemented for the Chunakkara Community Health Centre. An identical amount from the same fund has also been allocated for the development of the Chennithala Family Health Centre. Additionally, ₹55.50 lakh each has been sanctioned for the development of the Pullangadi Janakeeya Arogya Kendra under the Champakulam CHC and the Koduppunna Janakeeya Arogya Kendra under the Edathua CHC, utilising Central Finance Commission grants.
