Five country-made explosive devices allegedly used for hunting wildlife were seized from a shed at Karadimadai in the Madukkarai forest range in Coimbatore on Tuesday. A man, identified as Rayappan, was arrested by the Perur police.
Forest officials received information that a bull had suffered injuries to its mouth after reportedly biting a country-made explosive used for hunting wild boar and rabbits.
