Five artists were honoured with the title ‘Vani Kala Nipuna’ at the inauguration of the 15 th Sri Jayanthi Music Festival 2026 here on Sunday.
In the event organised by Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha and Nippo Indo National Limited, Sunil R. Gargyan (vocal), Charumathi Raghuraman (violin), Vijay B. Natesan (mridangam), Karthik Bhatt (theatre), and Kanaka Krishna Prashanth (bharatanatyam) were conferred the title ‘Vani Kala Nipuna’.
Former judge of Madras High Court R. Suresh Kumar said, in a bid to motivate and encourage young artists, this title is being conferred by the sabha. Throughout the year, the sabha organises concerts and felicitates various artists, and this is no easy feat.
