Five arrested for spate of armed robberies in Kariba

POLICE in Mashonaland West have arrested five men in connection with a spate of armed robberies that occurred at Gunguhwe Shopping Centre in Siakobvu, Kariba District, in the early hours of September 2, 2026.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the arrests in a statement. The suspects were identified as Lloyd Mupedzanhamo (37), Emmanuel Baruti (33), Malven Mupedzanhamo (23), Shelton Heberson Mwayera (23) and Tatenda Murehwa (19).
