Five arrested for poaching wild ox, wild boar in Sirumalai

The Dindigul Forest Department officials have arrested one person and registered a case against five persons for poaching wild ox and wild boar in Thenmalai in Sirumalai in Dindigul district.
The meat of the poached animals and country made guns were also seized by the officials. Forest Department officials arrested T. J. Thomas, a native of Kerala who was residing in Sirumalai, in connection with the case and registered a case against Thomas and four others: Kurian, Prasannan, Prakash and Pradeep under the Wild Life Protection Act.
