A 41-year-old meat shop owner and his accomplices were arrested in connection with a murder on Tuesday.
The police identified the victim as Anand (41), a resident of Old Railway Station in Erode district. He was working at a meat shop at Kumarapalayam in Namakkal. On August 11, Anand was found murdered in a stone quarry at Katheri near Sankari in Salem. The Sankari police registered a case. Inquiries revealed that Anand’s employer, Soundar, and his accomplices had allegedly murdered him over a money dispute.
