While the fishermen were fishing in the Palk Strait sea area, a fisherman named Ramu, 63, hailing from the Servakkaran Oorani area near Uchippuli, suddenly collapsed inside the boat due to chest pain and died.
Immediately, fellow fishermen turned the boat back toward the shore and brought it to the Mandapam fishing harbour early Tuesday.
