________________ Police in Kalangala district have arrested a 56-year-old fisherman, Ibrahim Nsereko, for allegedly killing his wife following a domestic dispute reportedly linked to childlessness and allegations of adultery. The incident happened at about 8:00 pm on September 12, 2026, at Kkusu landing site on Buyovu Island, in the house where Nsereko lived with his wife. Nsereko, a fisherman at the landing site, is accused of killing Juliet Kinyonyozi, 38, a farmer with whom he had lived for about three years. Twaha Kasirye, the Greater Masaka regional police spokesperson, told New Vision that Nsereko was arrested on a murder charge and remains in custody as investigations continue. Kasirye said preliminary investigations indicate that the couple had repeatedly disagreed over their failure to have a child.
