First picture of man who died after jumping in canal while being chased by police

A man who died after plunging into a canal while being chased by police at the Notting Hill Carnival has been named and pictured for the first time.
Police officers had attempted to stop Karnell Kelly, 25, on Monday during the final day of the iconic celebration.
He was chased and entered the Grand Union Canal at Meanwhile Gardens.
Canal boat owners and police battled to save him after dragging him from the water.
Officers then gave him emergency first aid at the scene before he was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Mr Kelly was pronounced dead a short time later.
A family member told Metro: ‘We are devastated, he was a wonderful person who loved his family.’
An investigation into the circumstances of the death has been launched.
