I’m replacing a much-loved Pixelbook that finally died a few months ago. I ended up with the Asus laptop as reviewers mentioned the premium hardware and Asus did not disappoint. Camera is great, fingerprint reader works well, laptop shell is sturdy and excellent, discovered that the Googlebook bar shows charge level when I plug it in to charge, which is nice. Happy with two ubs type-c, two usb a, an hdmi port and a 3.5mm headphone jack (probably trrs?). Screen is a phenomenal matte. Rambler is pretty good, though been enjoying that on Pixel phone for a while, so doesn’t feel new to me.
Some videos have some artifacts closer to full black end of the brightness spectrum but otherwise look great.
