First German All Black recommits to NZ Rugby

Arriving in Aotearoa as a 15-year-old, Anton Segner set himself a goal no-one else had ever achieved - to emigrate from Germany and become an All Black.

Having ticked that box, Segner said his first taste of international rugby was enough to keep him in the country for another five years.

"It was pretty much a no brainer," Segner said of his contract extension through to 2031.

"The way this year has played out has obviously played a huge role in my decision making and also the opportunities that I was presented with. There's nowhere else that I'd rather be playing my rugby than here in New Zealand and more specifically here in Auckland."
