A worker sustained serious burn injuries after a major fire broke out at Berry Alloys, located in the Bobbili Growth Centre of Vizianagaram district on Tuesday night.
According to souces, there was a big blast in the furnace and the flames engulfed parts of the factory. Employees and workers ran to safety, but one worker suffered burn injuries. He was shifted to a private hospital in Bobbili for treatment.
Fire tenders reached the site and doused the flames.
Ambedkar Porata Samithi State president Soru Sambayya sought a high-level inquiry into the frequent accidents at the company.
