Bihar police on Friday (September 25, 2026) registered an FIR at Secretariat Police Station against Sagar Prasad, an official posted at Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), in connection with posting the photographs of Jamui molestation victim’s family on Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s official social media handle X.
Earlier, the Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav had accused the Bihar CM of revealing the identity of the victim , calling it a violation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, by sharing the photograph of the minor girl who was molested on September 19, 2026. However, the photograph was deleted within 15 minutes after posting it.
The minor girl, along with her family members, met Mr. Choudhary at his official residence in Patna on Thursday (September 24, 2026).
