Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Will Ship on One PS5 Disc, Digital Download Required
Square Enix has confirmed that the physical edition of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will ship on a single disc and require a mandatory internet download to play. This decision reflects a growing industry trend where physical media serves primarily as a license key rather than a complete game container.

Unlike its predecessor Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth , which famously shipped on two discs , the latest game will be available on a single Blu-ray only.
A disclaimer from publisher Square Enix reads: “An internet connection is required to download additional game data in order to play the physical version of the game.”
It should be stressed in the current climate that this is true across all platforms: Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 will require downloads too.
