Film producer Archana Kalpathi appointed member of Tamil Nadu HR&CE department’s temple trustee committee
The Tamil Nadu HR&CE Department has formed a new committee to select non-hereditary temple trustees, appointing film producer Archana Kalpathi among its members. The committee will oversee temples with annual incomes exceeding ₹10 lakh.

The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department in Tamil Nadu has constituted a State-level committee to screen, sort and shortlist candidates for the posts of non-hereditary trustees of temples whose incomes are above ₹10 lakh per annum.
The committee will be headed by Thirugnana Balaya Swamigal of the Bommapuram Aadheenam, Mayilam. Retired District judge K. Ramanathan will be vice-president.
The members would be film producer Archana Kalpathi Agoram (who produced the Tamil movies ‘Bigil’ and ‘GOAT’ starring Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay), former IAS officer P.R. Sampath, singer T. Velmurugan, M. Sumathi and the Commissioner of HR&CE.
The order issued by Secretary HR&CE J. Kumaragurubaran said since the term of the previous committee had come to an end, a new committee has been constituted.
