PETALING JAYA: Criticisms over the extensive media coverage on former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad grieving in the days following the death of his wife, Dr Hasmah Ali, have caught the attention of the government.
Communications minister Fahmi Fadzil advised those who are concerned about any excessive media coverage to file their complaints with the Malaysian Media Council, Bernama reported.
Fahmi said any grievances should be channelled through the proper avenues to avoid misunderstandings and actions that could affect the integrity and credibility of the media industry.
