FIFA chief operating officer, Kevin Lamour, says FIFA president Gianni Infantino's sell-off idea is the "project of one person".
Mr Lamour all but invited Mr Infantino to sack him over his comments, saying he would "sleep well tonight".
A September 19 deadline has been set for football federations to decide on the proposal.
