Jagannadhapuram, a small village in the predominantly agrarian district of Khammam, wore a festive look on Friday as thousands of farmers from far and wide converged for the ‘Rythu Ashirvada Sabha’ addressed by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
The Chief Minister released the final instalment of ₹1,009 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to 1.44 lakh farmers for the kharif season, taking the total disbursal under the investment support scheme to ₹9,000 crore this season.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister outlined the Congress government’s farmer-centric initiatives aimed at increasing farmers’ income and making agriculture sustainable and profitable occupation.
