A female dog that was found with an eviscerated abdomen after it was released from the Animal Birth Control (ABC) centre run by Hosur Corporation was spotted by a community dog rescuer on Friday (August14), who shifted it to the government polyclinic in a critical state.
The incident occurred the morning after the dog was dropped back from the ABC centre after the mandatory five-day post-sterilisation recovery.
According to Ajay, the dog rescuer, the affected dog was among a few dogs picked up from his neighbourhood last week. On Thursday, it was released along with other dogs back in the same layout.
