FBI confirms extradtion of two Nigerians accused of sexual exploitation, extortion
Two Nigerian men have been extradited to the United States to face charges related to the sexual exploitation and extortion of minors. The FBI identified the suspects as high-value targets linked to schemes that allegedly led to the suicides of American teenagers.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) has confirmed that two Nigerians, Adebola Adekunle and Mudasiru Olawale, have been extradited to the US, where they are accused of “sexual exploitation of minors, coercion and enticement, extortion, distribution and production of child sexual abuse material, and other offences.”
FBI Director Kash Patel announced their return to the US in a Friday post on X, a few hours after Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, EFCC , announced the extradtion of the two men.
Mr Patel described both men as “high-value targets,” saying they were “brought back” to “face justice for alleged sextortion crimes and targeting minors.”
“Adebola Festus Adekunle and Mudasiru Afeez Olawale were arrested in Nigeria in 2023 and are now on U.S. soil,” he wrote.
Mr Patel added that one of their “alleged schemes resulted in the death of a child.”
