A court in L.B. Nagar has sentenced the owner of a fast food outlet in Shaheen Nagar to one day’s imprisonment for repeatedly operating his establishment beyond the permitted night-time hours despite repeated warnings from the police.
The convict, Sheikh Zafar, 40, who runs Zafar Kebab & Fast Food Centre in Shaheen Nagar under the Balapur police station limits, was found guilty of violating the prescribed closing time for commercial establishments.
According to the police, cases were registered against him earlier for running the outlet beyond the permitted hours. Despite repeated warnings, he allegedly continued the practice.
