A family of three was killed in a road accident at Kunnamkulam in Keralam’s Thrissur district late on Saturday night (September 5, 2026) when the driver of a car allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into their motorcycle.

The victims were Munir, his wife, Shihna, and their three-year-old son, Ameen, all natives of Chavakkad.

The accident occurred around 11.40 p.m. The car allegedly veered out of control, rammed the motorcycle and then crashed into a nearby electricity pole.

Shihna and Ameen were trapped between the car and the pole and died in the impact. Munir was thrown off the motorcycle.

The family were returning home after attending a wedding reception when the accident occurred.
