Family of late CID boss Bakiza challenges administration of father’s estate

The family of the late former Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), John Chris Bakiza, has challenged an application seeking to appoint three of his siblings as administrators of their late father’s estate, accusing them of failing to disclose his death and involvement in the succession proceedings.
The dispute is before the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kabale, where Bella Asiimwe and Brenda Namara, daughters of the late Bakiza and temporary administrators of his estate, have lodged a caveat seeking to stop the grant of letters of administration in respect of their grandfather, the late Bakiza Erinest’s estate.
The caveat has been filed against an application by Bakiza Betty, Bongyeirwe Alice and Nkwasibwe Andrew Bakiza, who are biological children of the deceased.
