Family 'devastated' by death of girl, 9, injured on Scottish industrial estate

A nine-year-old girl from West Yorkshire has died after being found seriously injured on an industrial estate in Arbroath, Scotland. A 35-year-old man known to the girl has been charged in connection with her death.

The family of a nine-year-old girl who died after being found seriously injured on an industrial estate in Arbroath said they are "devastated" at her loss.
Police have named her as Minnie Merriman from West Yorkshire. She died in Dundee's Ninewells Hospital on Sunday.
Officers were called to the Elliot Industrial Estate shortly after midnight following reports that a child had been found injured.
A 35-year-old man, who was known to the girl, has been charged in connection with her death and is due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court.
