Family awaits body of Kundapur man allegedly murdered in Sharjah two months ago

A 50-year-old man identified as Alwyn Prakash Kunder hailing from Kundapur in Udupi district is suspected to have been murdered in Sharjah while his wife and son are reportedly missing.

His brother Anil Prashanth Kunder in Kundapur believes that the murder could have taken place after July 20 as Alwyn contacted him last over phone on July 20.

Speaking to presspersons after submitting a petition to Udupi Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar on September 22 seeking help in the case, Mr. Anil said Alwyn was working for a private airliner as a senior manager at Sharjah Airport for the last 14 years.

He said Alwyn had visited Kundapur last in December 2025. His wife Tina, a native of Udyavara in Udupi, works as a school teacher in Sharjah, while their son is studying in class 10.
