Export duty on diesel, ATF slashed; petrol unchanged
The Indian government has reduced export duties on diesel and aviation turbine fuel while keeping petrol levies unchanged. These fortnightly adjustments are intended to ensure domestic fuel availability amid ongoing conflicts in West Asia.

In their latest fortnightly review, the government further reduced the export levy on diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) whilst keeping the levy on petrol unchanged. Excise duty levied on the fuels domestically remains unchanged.
For the next fortnight commencing October 1, export of diesel would draw an export duty of ₹16 per litre and aviation turbine fuel ₹10.5 on every litre.
Petrol would draw a levy of ₹0.5 per litre.
Following the previous fortnightly review, the export levy on diesel stood at ₹20 per litre and ATF ₹15 per litre.
