DAVAO CITY – Many breast cancer patients in the Davao region seek medical attention only when the disease is already advanced, showing the importance of early detection and treatment, Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) specialists said.
Speaking at Isyu Karon on Friday, Oct. 2, at The Royal Mandaya Hotel, Dr. Mike Villanueva, a surgical oncologist at SPMC, along with Dr. Joan Fabiosa-Reyes, a breast surgeon, said late breast cancer diagnosis remains a concern in Davao.
