Experts call for sustainable lifestyles at climate dialogue
Government officials and climate experts gathered at a symposium to discuss sustainable lifestyles and climate change mitigation strategies. The event also recognized grassroots environmental activists for their contributions to ecological stewardship.

Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the State government, particularly the Irrigation Department, is prepared to mitigate the impact of El Nino. He participated in a panel discussion on climate change titled “Will Future Generations Forgive Us? organised by Symposium, a not-for-profit platform, on Friday.
Opening the discussion, Girish Mallpani, founder and chairman of Symposium, urged the audience to adopt a conscious lifestyle for a sustainable world.
Vibha Dhawan, Director General of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Asif Qureshi, Head of the Department of Climate Change at IIIT Hyderabad; Goutham Reddy, Chairman, CII; and noted environmentalist Ranjan Panda participated in the discussion.
Young climate advocates Avyana Mehta and Ariana Agarwal, winners of the Global Earth Prize 2026, were also part of the panel.
