Expedite resolution of revenue issues: Collector to officials

Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikt Kishore has ordered revenue officials to expedite the resolution of long-pending land and administrative cases. The directive emphasizes setting clear timelines and improving public service delivery to reduce the need for repeated office visits.
Why it matters
Efficient land administration is critical for infrastructure development and public trust in government services.
Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikt Kishore on Thursday directed revenue officials to adopt a ‘drive mode’ to resolve long-pending and complex revenue issues within specified timelines and provide speedy services to the public.
Addressing a revenue conference of Visakhapatnam and Bheemili Divisions at the Collectorate, Mr. Kishore, along with Joint Collector Gobbilla Vidyadhar, reviewed bulk issues, pending cases, 22A cases, de-notification, regularisation of encroachments and manual applications.
He directed officials to set clear timelines and weekly targets for resolving 22A and de-notification cases and stressed the need to protect government land, act against water-body encroachments and conduct regular field-level monitoring. He asked officials to ensure compensation, as per rules, to those who lost land for public purposes.
