Expedite Gopalapatnam-Old Goshala road expansion works: GVMC chief to officials

The GVMC Commissioner has ordered officials to expedite the widening of a 3.10-km road stretch in Visakhapatnam. The project, which affects 348 properties, is targeted for completion within 120 days.

Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner Ketan Garg on Friday directed officials to expedite the process for widening the proposed 100-foot Master Plan Road from Gopalapatnam Junction Arch to Old Goshala, spanning a stretch of 3.10 km. He also instructed officials to take up the works with a target of completing them within 120 days.
Mr. Garg inspected various stretches of the proposed road widening in the GVMC West and Pendurthi Zones. Officials informed the Commissioner that as many as 348 properties have been identified as affected by the Master Plan Road widening, comprising 210 properties on the right side and 138 on the left side.
