Add The California Post on Google An outbreak of an extremely rare cancer in a ritzy Southern California community has drawn the attention of Los Angeles’ top federal prosecutor.
In a letter sent Thursday to US Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin, First Assistant US Attorney Bill Essayli called for an investigation into the Ladera Ranch community .
“My office has been made aware of recent reports of multiple pediatric Ewing sarcoma cases within the Ladera Ranch community. Residents are raising concerns about a potential cancer cluster and whether environmental factors may warrant further evaluation,” Essayli wrote in the letter, obtained by The California Post.
