Excise STF busts non-duty-paid liquor racket, seizes bottles worth ₹2 lakh
The Excise Special Task Force in Hyderabad seized 98 bottles of non-duty-paid liquor and a vehicle, arresting two individuals involved in an inter-state smuggling racket. The suspects allegedly purchased the liquor in Goa and transported it to Telangana for illegal resale.

The Excise Special Task Force (STF) has busted an inter-State non-duty-paid liquor racket operating on the outskirts of Hyderabad, seizing 98 liquor bottles worth around ₹2 lakh and confiscating a car used to transport the contraband.
Two of the accused, identified as Kuntimalli Srinivas and P.V.V.S. Ramakrishna of Ibrahimpatnam, allegedly travelled to Goa on frequent weekend trips, where they visited casinos before purchasing liquor bottles to bring back by air, and sell in Telangana for a profit.
According to the Excise Department, Srinivas also runs a grocery store and allegedly sold liquor to his customers and people organising private events.
