Excise arrest youth with 305.396 grams of suspected MDMA in Kochi

The Excise department’s Ernakulam wing has arrested a 28-year-old man with 305.396 grams of suspected MDMA. Shifas A.S., aka Bappu, of Panayappilly, Mattancherry was arrested from his rented apartment at Mattancherry, the Excise said on Friday. The Excise also seized ₹2,90,000, allegedly gained through drug sales, and a mobile phone from the accused.
The youth was nabbed following the information gathered by the Excise Intelligence and Investigation Bureau, the agency said. The investigators suspect that he was involved in selling the synthetic drugs to IT professionals and college students in different parts of Ernakulam district.
