A former minister from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir who was arrested two years ago over allegations of raping and trafficking children in Manchester as part of a grooming gang in the 1990s was re-elected as a member of parliament in PoK last week, according to a report by The Guardian.Rukhsar Ahmed was elected as an MP in the legislative assembly of PoK for Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's party.The 62-year-old politician, who was arrested in July 2024 and has been out of office for five years, was temporarily discharged on police bail pending further investigation."Too Unwell" To Answer BailAhmed failed to answer bail in July because he was "too unwell to fly". However, he was spotted campaigning at several election gatherings in Mirpur in PoK.
