Former Rajamahendravaram MP Margani Bharat was detained on Wednesday after a clash between TDP and YSRCP cadres erupted in Krishna Nagar (40 Ward) in Rajamahendravaram city. However, there has been no injuries reported in the clash.
He was later in the evening released from the III Town police station.
Mr. Bharat, former Rajya Sabha MP Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Rajamahendravaram Parliament In-Charge Guduri Srinivas convened a meeting in the 40th ward in the wake of 300 TDP supporters joining YSRCP.
Mr. Bharat stated in a release that the local police allowed a section of TDP supporters to disrupt the meeting.
