Ex-felda DG charged with deceiving board over Jalan Semarak land transfer

KUALA LUMPUR: A former Felda director-general has been charged in the Sessions Court here with deceiving the board of directors over the transfer of land titles belonging to the agency to Synergy Promenade Sdn Bhd.
Datuk Faizoull Ahmad, 66, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read out before Sessions Court judge Suzana Hussin on Wednesday (Sept 30).
Faizoull was accused of deceiving the board by dishonestly concealing that a Power of Attorney dated June 3, 2014, gave Synergy Promenade authority to transfer ownership of 16 Felda land plots under a development project in Jalan Semarak.
Through the alleged deception, Faizoull induced the board to agree to the Power of Attorney, resulting in the land ownership being transferred to Synergy Promenade KLVC Sdn Bhd and Synergy Promenade.
He allegedly committed the offence at the Menara Felda boardroom in Platinum Park, Persiaran KLCC, on Sept 2, 2014.
