ILOILO CITY – Three suspected drug pushers, including a former police officer, were arrested and suspected shabu valued at P1.4 million was seized in a buy-bust operation here on Wednesday, June 17. The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) identified the suspects as 60-year-old To Pepit of Barangay Navias, Mandurriao District, who was Absent Without Leave (AWOL); 47-year-old Noel, and 37-year-old Mark. ICPO chief Police Col. Wilbert B. Parilla said the suspects were apprehended in an intelligence-driven operation. “Let this serve as a strong warning to those involved in the illegal drug trade. We will not stop nor relent in our campaign against illegal drugs, regardless of a person's age, status, or background,” said Parilla. The Police Regional Office-6 lauded ICPO-Station 10 under Police Capt. Lester L. Oliveros for their achievement. “Our intensified intelligence-driven operations will remain focused on high-impact targets as we continue to dismantle drug networks, protect our communities, and ensure a safer Western Visayas for all,” said PRO-6 Director Police Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño.
