Evidence seized in Clare fatal hit

"Items of evidential value" have been seized by gardaí investigating a hit-and-run in Co Clare last week, in which a 17-year-old boy died.

Bryan Lowe sustained fatal injuries near Clonlara, close to the Clare/Limerick border, late on Friday night.

Emergency services were alerted after he was found unresponsive at Cottage Cross, near Clonlara.

The teenager, who had been on a scrambler e-bike, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A silver/gold coloured Skoda Octavia, believed to have been involved in the collision, did not remain there.
