NEW DELHI: Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has approached the Supreme Court alleging that the Nadia district administration in West Bengal evicted her from her official constituency accommodation at the Circuit House in violation of court orders.The matter was mentioned before Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana, seeking urgent listing of Moitra’s plea.Moitra told the Supreme Court that local officials evicted her from her constituency accommodation in the middle of the night despite a protective order issued by the High Court, as cited by Bar and Bench."May I mention an Article 32 petition by a sitting lady Member of Parliament who was evicted from her constituency accommodation by local officials, the Additional District Magistrate and the District Magistrate, in the dead of the night at 11 pm. This requires, in our respectful submission, some comprehensive directions because it involves issues of federalism.
